Left Big Majors at around noon and started an overnight passage to Rum Cay. Things were pretty smooth throughout the day and into the evening, but the winds shifted and increased, and waves picked up as the night wore on. Overcast skies and the moon not appearing until 4:30am made keeping watch pretty nerve-wracking… As Read More

February 14, Happy Valentines Day!
Today I climbed the mast again, in an attempt to replace the bulbs in the steaming and mooring lights… I discovered that I had the wrong bulbs, and as I was trying to re-assemble the steaming light the wind came up and bumped into the mast, causing all the pieces of the steaming light to Read More

We took the dinghy over to Staniel Cay and walked around the town for a few hours, had a nice lunch in the restaurant and got some gas for the dinghy/generator. The anchorage there was very busy with many mega-yachts and sailboats all around.

Nice day today heading to Big Majors.. where upon arrival we caught up with Reid and Rheta aboard sv:Amel, then we all went to see the “swimming pigs” on the beach. February 6, Blustery day hiding out in Royal Island Harbor, watermaker installed!
It’s been a pleasant but windy day so we slept in and had a great pancake breakfast. After breakfast I finished up the watermaker installation. Today we’ve made 5.79 gallons of water! It’s amazing, it tastes JUST LIKE WATER! With winds gusting up to 30 mph, we drug anchor at one point and had to Read More
