Spent time today inspecting thru-hulls, seacocks, elbows and hose clamps. Better results than I had expected but still some work to do to get things cleaned up. Also checked out the battery situation as  well as the exhaust mixing elbow location and condition, seems to be in an accessible location, and needs to be replaced. Read More

This is our first glance at the boat as we pulled into the boatyard. We will begin working on projects tomorrow. We bought Dean some tools today so that he can get to work while I sit around eating Bonbons.  

Got over to see the boat this morning, looks great. Lots of work to do, but we’re very pleased. Spent most of the day getting a place to stay, checking out the neighborhood and buying a few things for the boat. Still planning on launching on Saturday. Stopped in New Orleans for dinner at  Coops and walked around and looked at all the fun things going on there. After that we headed off and made it all the way to Pensacola Florida where we are spending the night.

Another short drive today to Houston, Texas to visit Cathy’s aunt Peggy and uncle Bill. Enjoyed staying up late talking with them. Nice to catch up with family we haven’t seen in a while. Heading to New Orleans today, we’ll probably go up the road farther than that unless we get distracted!

Nice relaxing drive down to Dallas, TX. today, stayed with a friend of Cathy’s that she’s only seen a couple of times since high school. Had a great time catching up and getting to know her family. Spent too much time messing around in Roswell, spent the night in Abilene, TX.

Went looking for aliens, no luck… Now we’re in Abeline, TX, heading to Dallas tomorrow.
