Packing paradigms

It’s truly liberating when you realize that all the stuff you packed into boxes and totes over the years is surrounded by air…
Mari decided yesterday that we need to think of the entire truck as a single packing container. Today’s post brought to you by the word “stuff”:

Stuff – verb
1. to fill (a receptacle), especially by packing the contents closely together; cram full.
2. to fill (an aperture, cavity, etc.) by forcing something into it.

We did away with most of the containers and packed everything into the truck item by item on Saturday. We’ll be lucky to fit our traveling clothes for the week inside the small area left beneath the glass at the back.

Now it’s time to consider the roof rack. The kayak will be going up there, and probably all my clothes… Good thing we’re heading for warm climates, not taking too many clothes.

Dave L. – you were right, should have done something with a small trailer!

We’ll finish loading up today and have one more family dinner this afternoon, then we head out Monday morning. I’ll try to take some pictures before we head out…

Here’s one of the inside of the back of the truck..
