It was great seeing family and friends up in Bend. Especially happy to see Annie who’s graduating high school, we’re very proud of her.
Many thanks to John & Mari for carrying a load of stuff in their truck on the way up there, and to John for helping organize the shed. We’ve got more space in there now than we had BEFORE we hauled this load. One more load should be it. Still lots of stuff at the house to be dealt with, but we’re moving this weekend and that will begin the really big changes at the house. It will be interesting sharing a bathroom with Cathy, Makyla & Briella, but it’s only for another 6 months. I’ll miss the hot tub and the bed… Actually, I’ll miss the house. It’s the first house I’ve ever owned, and we really like it there.
Had to have about $500 worth of work done on the Mountaineer (water pump, serpentine belt, misc. parts, oil change) before heading out on the trip. It’s got 195,000 miles on it now. John just passed 200,000 miles on his truck, it’s blowing a little smoke but seems to be running OK. We may use the Mountaineer to drive to the boat if it’s located in the continental united states. Trying to get the titles all squared away for the vehicles so I can sell them quickly when the time comes.
I got one of my garage sale scuba tanks hydro’d and filled so I can test dive equipment, no sense taking stuff that doesn’t work. I may have to leave some of that behind if we fly to our boat when we get it.
I’ll post moving details once we actually have any news to post, this weekend is pretty much shot for getting much done as there’s lots of activities that will keep us busy, getting our stuff moved so we can sleep at the Riggs will probably be all we get accomplished.
