December 18, installed new battery charger

Decided that wire is too expensive to buy enough to reach across the pacific ocean, so we bought a bigger battery charger. That way when there’s no wind and no sun, we can recharge the batteries from the generator. We could do that before, but only at about 8-10 amps per hour. Now we should be able to charge at about 70-80 amps per hour, so we won’t have to run the generator nearly as long.
Beasty charger requires 2 gauge wire to go to the battery. I’m getting much better at slithering into the aft compartments now, but I still get pretty sore and banged up…
So now we can do all the important things like watch TV and have refrigeration!
Still trying to get the exhaust mixing elbow for the engine, been some confusion with that order .
We’ve ordered a custom pole to mount the radar onto, so we’re waiting on that, may get the pole and install the radar elsewhere as we’re itching to get over to the Bahamas. We’re getting close!
