Life is exciting!

Had the “Pier Pressure” boat inspected (Drive-by)  by a highly respected and reputable marine surveyor (Recommended by John Neal), and his first words were…

“the 393 would certainly work for you”

Yo, baby! I’m excited! SERIOUSLY EXCITED!

Here’s” the details  from the surveyor’s e-mail….

“I went by and looked at the Beneteau today in Stuart  the 393 would certainly work for you.  The keel structure all seemed to be in shape with no signs of movement.  She is quite nice below, somewhat dull and sun damaged on deck, needs a good clean up and wax.  Sails and canvas are tired.  She needs rigging.  There is a rusty strand on the main shrouds (referred to as barber polling).   I also took some pictures of a slight smaller beneteau the broker also has (that he said you had also shown interest in)   That one has a very dark wood interior and is not as nice below.  She also has rod rigging.  That is more expensive but has no advantages for a cruiser and is much more expensive to replace.  It is also difficult to replace with wire as the mast attachments are usually not compatible.”

Now, understanding the unique perspective that I have… This is what I read…

“the 393 would certainly work for you”

Good thing Cathy reads this stuff with me…

I’m counting pennies, trying to figure out what things are really gonna cost… (I know.. What’s it gonna cost to go cruising?
“As much as you have”)
