So… This boat probably needs new sails, a bottom job, new rigging (standing and running) and we’re still not sure about the engine…
Sounds like the perfect boat to make a offer on… Putting things a little more in perspective, the average sale price around the world of this year of this boat is $119,000.
If our offer is accepted, and we have LOTS of work done, we’ll be getting a nice boat with new rigging, new sails, new bottom…. For less than the average price.
And in OZ (Australia) all this new stuff is worth some $$$$. Right now it helps us stay safe… There it makes $$$.
Or, so the theory goes. Realistically, we’ll only get 10% payback on these improvements. Probably worth doing. I’m working with John to prepare an offer now, sure hope they take it, as well as let us knock off a few thousand for tired rigging and sails and an ugly bottom… If that’s the case, we’ll be smelling like roses.
Prayers would be good now. For wisdom in making the right offer for what we hope is the right boat.
